ERS KL Trip
Day 1
Woke up super early in the morning as we had arranged to gather at marsiling train station, taking a bus down to woodlands checkpoint and headed to Kulur Lumpur, Malaysia. The journey took 5 hours which was pretty long but thankfully a few pit stops along the way allowed us to have a breather, some to relieve the boredom that was killing and for others to relax their aching muscles. The bumpy roads got us awaken nearing the end of the ride. Alighted somewhere near Bejaya Times Square, a grand and beautiful hotel which at first sight we thought that that's our place of stay. But rather, we headed there only for shelter when droplets of rain started to fall after alighting off from the coach.
Lunch there and a tour around the building pretty sums up the whole afternoon. It was an eye-opener to have seen for the first time a roller coaster in a shopping area, and have come to know that the building was 10 stories high 500 over shops. Amazing!
Dinner and headed to klcc(twin tower) for some photo taking before back to our hotel room for some drinks. Played card games, got myself drunk after suffering many loses, which was forfeited with vodka and rum.
Day 2
It was great in the morning, weather was perfect, enjoying every moment out there in the open, felt the breeze of the cooling wind and the amazing sunrise was perfect to kick off with the day. Had a hearty breakfast, was real happy that food found common back home like "Nasi Lemak" was served, that I can have some even when abroad.
Next, we set off to a huge waterfall somewhere in the mountains, it sounded pretty exciting, like some sort of excursion into the woods where you get to explore and at the same time experiencing the nature of wildlife. It was rather a tough hike, seven sections to be completed, the heat was killing and the tough trail really stretched us to our limits. But under those circumstances, we managed to reached it's submit thus completing the hike. We also travelled to batu caves which was yet another tiring hike, 300 over flight of steps in total. Our efforts were rewarded, sighted bats in the dark cave. Girls find the place spooky and with those creeps flying above their heads, they seem even more disturbed.
Everyone was so exhausted on the return back to the hotel. Lunch was free and easy, gathered back as we proceeded to Chinatown. It was pretty similar to a flea market, a night market or a pasam malam you would say. You will get a good bargain shopping there, which we used it to our advantage. Tram back to hotel room, had a warm bath before some ghost stories telling and pillow fights before lights out.
Day 3
Last day came, a late night sleep and thus woke up slightly later than usual. Breakfast and more shopping after, spend some leisure time in the arcade as well. It was already 4p.m. before we even realized it. Rushed back and gathered with the rest before making our way to the bus terminal some distance away where we travelled on foot. It was packed, crowded and stuffy. Thankfully, the bus didn't take long to arrive. We were relieved. And along the journey, we had some thrilling encounters and for the first time we had to consume our dinner in the dark. Didn't have an easy time at all, and we had to rely on a torch for some light. It was some fun after all.
Anyway, it all ended with smiles though there might still be some disputes not solved. And with this opportunity here, I would like to thank the committee for organizing this trip, those that brought me joy during the trip, really enjoyed the stay there. And from the bottom of my heart, I would like to say that you people are great. See ya in chalet upcoming Wednesday... Bye for now.
Photos to be uploaded once I get everyone's copies.
Signing off with much love.
