A Wonderful day at the beach
Even since school started, for what I thought would be a fun and relaxing semester, but instead what has come to be was a busy and stress one, where you have lesser time to yourself or even signs of having a break. In the beginning, I'm still quite living the lifestyle I'd in the holidays, wasn’t really used to the school time table but I’m trying my very best to adapt. Though there were lesser modules as those previous semesters I had, still I'm constantly faced with plenty of pressure commit myself entirely if I wish to do well in all of them. And should I say it might be tiring but achievement comes with great effort.
Today, I had a great time with my choir friends at Sentosa. The committee specially arranged this outing so that we could really take a day off our busy schedule to have some fun in the open and also to do bond with new members of the choir. I'm so glad that the turn out rate wasn't too poor; at least it was more than what I'd expected initially. Though there are still practices every Tuesday and Friday, you'll feel as if it has been ages since your last met.
Woke myself extremely early today, having to reach at 9.30 in the morning, I dragged myself to habourfront. Wasn't the earliest and neither was I the latest, met shar along the journey as we headed there together. Everyone gathered as we proceed on to the tram towards Sentosa Island.
Alighted at the beach station and made our way to Palawan beach. Settled ourselves under some big palm trees where there’s shade. Got on with our game right after, the amazing race... Moving from station to station, doing the tasks and challenges assigned. Against all odds, the unity and teamwork aid us in overcoming all impossibilities, finishing the race in first place.
After the games, returned back to our spot for some relaxing games on our free time. Volleyball and Frisbee we played, felt sorry for the people around us as the ball or Frisbee hit them several times whenever it flies out of boundary.
I wasn't really satisfied with the tanned, having spent such a short period of time on the beach. It was only 3 in the afternoon, before everyone decides that it's end of the day for them. I'd no choice but to follow the majority.
Went back to Vivo, finished up our snacks at the roof terrace of the mall having not eaten them earlier on. Felt pretty lazy and restless after such a tiring day, and instead of walking aimlessly around the mall, I went home for a nap. Much more exciting events coming up, sleep over at yuhan's house later, watching football match tonight and most likely some catching up, the plan was set and arranged. Nevertheless, I'm more concerned and will be looking forward to next weekend, where most of my assignment and presentation would be completed by then. for at least, we can have a slight breather before the more stressful COMMON TEST...

Nunsense
So then tonight, I enjoyed a pretty sensational performance at LaSalle. Got to know of this musical named 'Nunsense' through a friend and so went with her Daphne to this show. The place was somewhere near Bugis, and even though I've been there umpteen times, I spend much more effort than I usually do locating the place. It wasn’t long later I got the venue right.
Was still early when we got there, and so we got ourselves a little tour around the school. Shortly after, the show was about to begin as we got ourselves ready, queuing to enter the little studio.
Anyway, the show was about several surviving little sisters of Hoboken put up a concert to raise funds so that they can bury the remaining 4 of 52 sisters who were poisoned by Sister’s Julia's vichyssoise.
The entire performance did lifted us from our seats several times, in particular the music from distinctly American genres which includes gospel, souse marches and vaudeville, together with the choreography they had in their dance was simply amazing. The show is deal at point of the course as each cast member gets to dance, sing a solo song, tell jokes, deliver a monologue and most importantly work as a part of a small ensemble, presenting us the best visual and audio effects throughout.
It was a wonderful night, enjoying the best pieces brought together inside out. Thanks Daphne...
In the upcoming musical, we must get more people to go. Hopefully, they'll be able to join us. It sure will be a unforgettable and memorable experience.

The Wedding
It has been a long week and there seem to be so many things to do within a short span of time. Wow, things seem to be so overwhelming for me that make me so extremely exhausted. I have not been myself lately and I find that I am in a daze most of the time. However, I'm committed to upload this very post.
It was one main highlight of the week where I attended my cousin's wedding.
Everything was perfect. The wedding party arrived at their house and got ready for the big day. The photographer began documenting the festivities and though I missed out the fun in the morning, there were videos for viewing. It truly was a visual work of art. In that video, my cousin drove his convertable Porsche and the photographer snaped dozens of pictures. You could tell, though the sun was shining pretty strongly, the day was beautiful for both of them. Felt like some scene of a Movie.
Not only that, some creative ideas were put together and they too develop a short movie clip, showcasing their love for each other all these years and most importantly how they first knew each other.
It was through a friend, they knew each other. They didn't really think much of the other when they first met. But like every relationship, it slowly happened over time and feelings for each other started to develop...
He did everything he could to make her feel special and to let her know that he really does cherish her and the relationship they had. He too proposed to her in the most romantic way, she agreed and so now I'm here at his wedding witnessing this very special and important moment of his life, with our best wishes.
The dinner was indeed special. We're invited to Shangri La Hotel, one of the top and finest hotel in the world. First class services, spiral steps, "the island" ballroom, top class cuisines, etc... It was a very grand ceremony, heard from my uncle the cost for the entire wedding might cost up to 200k itself. I saw many of my uncle's business partners as well as those colleagues and past bosses for the new couple, which I happen to know are from some modeling company.
My cousin himself being a model for various companies, advertisement like M1 were a few cases he handled, and his wife being Miss Singapore Winner 2005 did prove her potential too, clinch several modeling deals herself and got selected in various photo shoot for magazines and newspaper.
First and foremost, you enter the great living of the entire hotel, walked the extremely long corridor stationed with their staffs which leads to a large waiting area, I would named it as the outdoor bar. Waiters and waitresses stationed everywhere, with those amazing drinks from the bartenders. Seriously the best lemon drop I've ever had. The signature drinks were so popular that soft drinks weren't to our liking for that day. Not forgetting the dinner served was delicious too.
The MC of the night was one of the bride's sisters, whom then announced the start of the wedding party as we witness the whole ceremony. It was perfect. From the wonderful duet, to the sincere readings by the best men, to the heartfelt and personal remarks by their close ones, to the champagne pouring ceremony, to the kiss that sealed their marriage... it was remarkable. This will surely be my dream wedding.
Anyway, it was a great night.

Dance Recruitment... D3!
Whew! It's getting late in the day to be posting, but heck! I've been working feverishly since 8am and haven't really come up for air.
Dance recruitment just a few weeks after the start of a new semester is pretty draining, especially when you're trying to adapt and in the learning process of new things... but I reckon it's gonna be fun getting to know more people and develop new bloods in this club.
Committee involved in planning, but everyone has been scheduled to mend the booth at different timings. Today will be the final day, response wasn’t too bad, for at least we had quite a number application. Basically, we need more guys in the club, girls are too overwhelming. Sigh, hope to balance the ratio by the time I pass out of the school.
This Saturday will be the first practice together with the new comers, so upset that I couldn’t be there, had to attend cousin's wedding. Nevertheless, fellow dance mates and committee member would be there to facilitate, to my relief...
Anyway, to all new members, we'll be learning genres such as contemporary, modern, ballet, jazz, broad way… and lots more in store for all of you guys. So do be more involved with the CCA and hopefully we could get to perform together in the upcoming events.
Yeah, D3!!!
